Fistful of dollars, can’t
Make me change my mind, but a
Ounce or two of medicine &
I’m feeling fine

When you’re feelin’ down & out
It’s hard to unwind
Bring ale to my side
For the rest of my time

There’s tradition when drinking with your peers
Can’t see no harm in sharing a few beers
Wine’s all good when your keg’s run dry
A good stout or porter brings a tear to my eye

A round of whiskeys
To go with our beers
Drinking up my troubles, but
Keeping my mind clear
Lightning in a bottle, if
I get caught
I’ll be explaining to the police
